This Privacy Policy explains how iamU collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use our apps and website.

1. Data we collect

Information you give us

• Account details: email address or phone number, password, date of birth
• Profile: name, photos, gender, bio, interests, relationship goals, lifestyle preferences
• Birth data: birth date, and optionally birth time and place, used to calculate your chart
• Messages and content: chats, community posts, comments, reviews and reports you submit
• Payments: purchase history; card details are handled by our payment providers and never stored by iamU

Information collected automatically

• Location: approximate location to show nearby matches and events (you can control this in your device settings)
• Device and usage: device type, app version, IP address, crash logs and in-app activity

2. How we use your data

• To create your account and verify your age
• To calculate birth charts and compatibility, and to recommend matches
• To deliver messages, calls, notifications and community features
• To process payments and subscriptions
• To keep members safe: detecting fraud, spam and abuse, and reviewing reports
• To improve the Service and fix problems
• To meet legal obligations

3. Sensitive information

Some profile details (such as relationship preferences) may reveal sensitive information. You choose whether to share them, and they are used only to provide the Service.

4. Who we share data with

• Other members see the profile information you choose to make visible
• Service providers that host data, process payments, send email/SMS and provide analytics, under contract and only for our purposes
• Experts, sellers and hosts receive the details needed to fulfil a booking or order you make
• Authorities when required by law or to protect someone's safety

We do not sell your personal data.

5. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

• Export: request a copy of your data in Settings
• Privacy controls: manage profile visibility and other privacy settings in Settings
• Delete: delete your account in Settings

6. Retention

When you delete your account it is deactivated immediately and permanently erased after a 30-day grace period, during which you can change your mind. We may keep limited records longer where the law requires (for example, payment records) or to prevent fraud and abuse.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, hashed passwords and access controls to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.

8. Children

iamU is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and we remove accounts we believe belong to minors.

9. International transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

10. Changes

We will notify you in the app or by email of material changes to this policy.
